But are you truly worshipping me?
Subservience and obedience do not imply the existence of worship. You can comply without passion. If you are not there to be broken, molded, and eventually worship through a kinky, consensual Stockholm syndrome, then you need to be there because you really want to be there. (To be clear, I love breaking the willful, but that's a different post.)
We are talking about worship. What makes it different? Why is it harder than it looks?
Because sure, you can kiss my feet; but are you truly offering foot worship? You can take the beating like a good masochist to My sadist; but are you grateful for the opportunity to receive the pain I want to give you? You can follow every single order to the letter; but do you want to do whatever I desire for the simple joy of pleasing me? You can call me Goddess, but do you treat me like one?
Worship isn't just "doing the thing."
It's not just kissing my feet. It's your eyes closing as you savor it, feeling so grateful for the opportunity to touch my feet to your lips. It's not the compliment, it's your tone and blushing cheeks. It's seeing you squirm because you desperately want me to approve. It's not simply being obedient, it's being grateful to be instructed, to be near me, to have the opportunity to fulfill My wants and needs.
It’s ok if you haven’t cracked this level of surrender. I think you want to, but it's hard. It's hard to worship properly. To lose yourself in the moment while maintaining your obedience. To feel transcendental pleasure through being My possession and following My will.
But usually, you do have to get through a few layers of pesky socialization to get there. Dignity is something that is expected of all of us out in the world. It is very taboo to release your grip on yours. It takes trust, implicit safety. But that's what worship is. It's releasing your hold on your presentation, your ego, and willingly debasing yourself in reverence to your chosen Muse. You trust implicitly that your Goddess will be merciful, even kind to you for your efforts.
Devotion should always be rewarded.
